Caffeine Solutions Acquires Coffex Singapore & Launch Of The BRC at Chillax Asia 2018

Caffeine Solutions has acquired a majority shareholding in Coffex Singapore. This new partnership adds to their already significant footprint in the hotel, restaurant and cafe sectors. To celebrate this occasion Caffeine Solutions will launch a new event called the Barista Redefined Challenge (BRC). The winner of the BRC will win the grand prize of a professional espresso machine.

According to Keith Loh, CEO of Caffeine Solutions, “We are excited to announce this new partnership during Chillax Asia 2018 which positions us as a forerunner in the industry both locally and regionally. To celebrate this special occasion we have created the Barista Redefined Challenge that aims to promote growth in the barista profession by actively pairing the latest in coffee machine automation with craft coffee brewing.”

Launch of world’s first BRC at Chillax 2018

This first edition is a latte art throwdown competition that will showcase competing barista’s latte art making skills using La Cimbali’s automated milk steaming & frothing technology – Turbosteam™. Turbosteam™ is a patented technology by La Cimbali that allows the barista to make beautiful latte art without the need to manually steam and froth the milk. The winner of this inaugural BRC Cup will win an unheard of, and possibly a global first, La Cimbali professional espresso machine with Turbosteam™ worth over S$15,000. Registration fees will be at S$50 per competitor with bulk rates available for corporate entries.
